The Villaggio Italia will welcome all visitors to celebrate and share the story of the two-year world tour of the Amerigo Vespucci Ship. An extraordinary journey of explorations, discoveries, and encounters, told through exclusive content. Enhancing the experience will be several performances by the Italian Navy Band, the Fanfare of the 3rd Carabinieri Regiment “Lombardia,” and the Military Band of the “Folgore” Paratroopers Brigade. The accreditation area for boarding the Vespucci Ship
is located at Calata Molo Vecchio (Magazzini del Cotone).

Experience the unique opportunity to see the most beautiful ship in the world up close. Come aboard and take your souvenir photos. The visit to the Vespucci is not guided, but the crew members will be happy to answer all your questions along the way. Dress code: We recommend comfortable shoes. Open-toed shoes and high heels are not allowed. Animals are not permitted; small dogs may only be carried in arms. No strollers or pushchairs are allowed.

We would like to inform you that, due to the structural features of the ship, designed in an era when specific accessibility measures were not considered, there may be limitations for people with mobility impairments. In particular, the ship has architectural barriers that make it impossible to install ramps for wheelchair access. Therefore, for technical and safety reasons, access cannot generally be guaranteed for people with walking difficulties who require aids such as wheelchairs. The crew of Amerigo Vespucci Ship and the staff of Villaggio Italia are fully committed to providing all visitors with a welcoming and inclusive experience. We are aware of the importance of ensuring the best possible experience for all visitors, and, in line with the structural conditions of the ship, we will assess each specific case on-site.

Press Conference for the Presentation of the Docufiction “Vespucci, il viaggio più lungo”
An epic voyage around the world aboard the Amerigo Vespucci, the most beautiful ship ever built and a true ambassador of Italy across the seas. Sailing alongside is Villaggio Italia, a traveling mini-expo designed to showcase the country’s finest achievements.

Directed by Flavio Maspes, the docufiction is a production by PALOMAR (a Mediawan Company), in collaboration with RAI FICTION, with the participation of the Ministry of Defence, the Italian Navy, Difesa Servizi S.p.A., Ninetynine, and the Ministry of Culture.

Speakers will include Luca Andreoli, CEO of Difesa Servizi; Maria Pia Ammirati, Head of Rai Fiction; Carlo Degli Esposti, CEO of Palomar; Roberto Ferrara, Director of Rai Licence Fee, Artistic Heritage and Institutional Affairs; and Giuseppe Lai, Navy Captain and Commander of Amerigo Vespucci.

The Interministerial Coordinating Committee for the Amerigo Vespucci World Tour presents the story of an epic undertaking: a 20-month voyage across 5 continents, 30 countries, and 35 ports. Featuring Serena Autieri, Veronica Maya, Antonella Clerici, and 250 musicians from the extraordinary Orchestra Meravigliosa, composed of representatives from the bands of all Italian Armed Forces, as well as the Choir of the Teatro dell'Opera Carlo Felice in Genoa. The evening will conclude with a spectacular drone show.

Carlo Mari – 46 days at sea: of sailing, emotions, human connections, military life, ropes, confidences, sharing, dizzying moments, hard work, reflections, dialogue, solidarity, crew spirit, and a new family. The “On Board” exhibition, set up in the Galleria delle Esposizioni and the Sala dell’Idrografico della Marina Militare, brings together 56 photographs that capture the author’s experience during the Atlantic crossing made by the Amerigo Vespucci in the summer of 2023. It is a photographic journey in which the heartstrings intertwine with life on board to tell the story of the women and men—crew members and cadets alike—who make the Vespucci the most beautiful ship in the world, soon arriving in Genoa after two years of circumnavigating the globe.
