Experience the unique opportunity to see the most beautiful ship in the world up close. Come aboard and take your souvenir photos. The visit to the Vespucci is not guided, but the crew members will be happy to answer all your questions along the way. Dress Code: We recommend comfortable shoes. Open-toed shoes and high heels are not allowed. Animals are not permitted; small dogs may only be carried in arms. No strollers or pushchairs are allowed. IMPORTANT: Due to structural limitations and the presence of architectural barriers on the quay of the Aragonese Castle, access and approach to the Vespucci Ship are unfortunately not permitted for wheelchair users. As an alternative, it is recommended to admire the Ship from the Belvedere, located on Corso Due Mari. Please note that for those using strollers, the exit route includes a staircase.

Important information: • It is not possible, under any circumstances, to change the time and/or name after registration. • Minors and children without an identity card can board only if accompanied, by entering the accompanying person’s document during registration and indicating it in the notes • Children under 1 year old do not need to be included in the booking • Wheelchairs cannot be brought on board but can be left on the dock • For groups larger than 4 people, including educational institutions, organizations, or federations of an institutional nature, it is not possible to make a single reservation. Therefore, we suggest registering up to 4 people at a time How to access: • The person making the reservation will receive a unique QR code for all registered participants • The QR code and the ID documents provided during booking must be shown to the check-in staff at the Villaggio IN Italia • Access to the queue for the visit is allowed from 15 minutes before to 15 minutes after the time indicated in the confirmation email • In case of bad weather, check for possible cancellations on the website 2 hours before the event

People with disabilities must register individually, optionally indicating the presence of a companion, who must also register. We would like to inform you that, due to the structural features of the ship, designed in an era when specific accessibility measures were not considered, there may be limitations for people with mobility impairments. In particular, the ship has architectural barriers that make it impossible to install ramps for wheelchair access. Therefore, for technical and safety reasons, access cannot generally be guaranteed for people with walking difficulties who require aids such as wheelchairs. The crew of Amerigo Vespucci Ship and the staff of Villaggio IN Italia are fully committed to providing all visitors with a welcoming and inclusive experience. Opening the discussion will be Riccardo Toto, General Director of Renexia, and Giuseppe Catalano, Chief of Staff of the Puglia Region. Concluding the event will be Ministers Tommaso Foti and Andrea Abodi, with whom topics such as Southern Italy, current affairs, politics, and of course, sports will be discussed.

SPECIAL EVENTS

RITUAL OF THE PASSING OF THE “POSTE” OF THE CONFRATERNITY OF THE CARMINE

On the occasion of Easter and the historic Holy Week traditions in Taranto, the Amerigo Vespucci ship—whose chapel has been designated as a Jubilee Church—will host the Altar of Reposition and serve as the site for the ritual transfer of the “Poste” by the Confraternity of the Carmine. PROGRAM – APRIL 17 – from 08:00 to 10:00 aboard Amerigo Vespucci Ship, the helmsmen will carry out the ceremonial “hoisting of the yards” (imbroccamento dei pennoni) as a sign of mourning, in respect for the Passion of Christ. – from approximately 19:00, the Holy Mass in “Coena Domini” will be celebrated at the Chapel of San Leonardo in the Aragonese Castle. At the end of the celebration, the Blessed Sacrament will be carried in procession and placed on the Altar of Reposition set up aboard the Vespucci. – from approximately 20:00, the procession of the Blessed Sacrament will proceed from the Chapel of San Leonardo to the Altar of Reposition aboard the Vespucci. – from approximately 21:00, the ceremonial passing of the “Poste” of the Confraternity of the Carmine will take place aboard Amerigo Vespucci Ship.
