The Villaggio IN Italia will welcome all visitors to celebrate and share the story of the two-year world tour of the Amerigo Vespucci Ship. An extraordinary journey of explorations, discoveries, and encounters, told through exclusive content. Enhancing the experience, there will be several musical performances, including the 4th Mounted Carabinieri Regiment, the Brass Band of the 11th Bersaglieri Regiment and the Italian Navy Band. Important: Access to the Villaggio IN Italia is exclusively reserved for visitors with a valid ticket for a visit aboard the Amerigo Vespucci Ship or the Trieste Ship. VILLAGGIO IN ITALIA HOURS March 2 and 3: 09:00 AM – 09:00 PM March 4: 09:00 AM – 02:00 PM
Experience the unique opportunity to see the most beautiful ship in the world up close. Come aboard and take your souvenir photos. The visit to the Vespucci is not guided, but the crew members will be happy to answer all your questions along the way.
Dress code: We recommend comfortable shoes. Open-toed shoes and high heels are not allowed. Animals are not permitted; small dogs may only be carried in arms. No strollers or pushchairs are allowed.
Access to the Amerigo Vespucci Ship is free upon nominal reservation, exclusively through our website. Any other source, entity, or platform is not authorized to grant access and should be considered unreliable.

On March 1, 2025, the Gulf of Trieste will welcome the Training Ship Amerigo Vespucci, the first stop of its Mediterranean Tour after a journey around the world.
On this occasion, the city will pay tribute to the Vespucci with the Barcolana Special Edition Boat Parade, a spectacular open-sea parade featuring all types of vessels, from tall ships to canoes.
On land, exhibitions, meetings, and immersive activities will tell the story of seafaring and the deep connection between Trieste and the most beautiful ship in the world.
The event is organized by Barcolana in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, Difesa Servizi, and Rai, the main media partner. A not-to-be-missed tribute to celebrate an icon of Italian maritime tradition

Trieste Ship is the largest vessel ever built for the Italian Navy by the national shipbuilding industry since the post-war period. With a length of 245 meters and a displacement of 38,000 tons, it represents a significant milestone in the technological and operational evolution of the Armed Forces. Designed as a Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD), it combines various operational capabilities, including troop transport, logistical support, and air operations. The primary role of the Trieste Ship is that of a Multi-role Amphibious Unit, a platform designed to support landing operations and force projection from and onto the sea in crisis areas. It is a testament to Italian industrial know-how and the capabilities of national shipyards in integrating complex and innovative systems. Don’t miss the opportunity to board Trieste Ship! On February 27th and 28th, access to the ship will be at Molo Bersaglieri, while on March 2nd and 3rd, it will be at Villaggio IN Italia.
