ACCESSIBILITY ONBOARD NAVE VESPUCCI

We would like to inform you that, due to the structural features of the ship, designed in an era when specific accessibility measures were not considered, there may be limitations for people with mobility impairments. In particular, the ship has architectural barriers that make it impossible to install ramps for wheelchair access. Therefore, for technical and safety reasons, access cannot generally be guaranteed for people with walking difficulties who require aids such as wheelchairs. The crew of Amerigo Vespucci Ship and the staff of Villaggio IN Italia are fully committed to providing all visitors with a welcoming and inclusive experience. We are aware of the importance of ensuring the best possible experience for all visitors, and, in line with the structural conditions of the ship, we will assess each specific case on-site. Information for organized groups: Institutional associations or federations with more than 20 people can follow the group reservation procedure described in the dedicated section.

NAVE TRIESTE

Trieste Ship is the largest vessel ever built for the Italian Navy by the national shipbuilding industry since the post-war period. With a length of 245 meters and a displacement of 38,000 tons, it represents a significant milestone in the technological and operational evolution of the Armed Forces. Designed as a Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD), it combines various operational capabilities, including troop transport, logistical support, and air operations. The primary role of the Trieste Ship is that of a Multi-role Amphibious Unit, a platform designed to support landing operations and force projection from and onto the sea in crisis areas. It is a testament to Italian industrial know-how and the capabilities of national shipyards in integrating complex and innovative systems. Don’t miss the opportunity to board Trieste Ship! On February 27th and 28th, access to the ship will be at Molo Bersaglieri, while on March 2nd and 3rd, it will be at Villaggio IN Italia.
