SAIL4th250

Sail250® celebrates the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States with an extraordinary parade of tall ships and naval vessels from around the world. The initiative will bring together crews, cadets and visitors through a rich programme of activities dedicated to maritime culture and traditions.

The city of New York will host the fourth stop from 4 to 8 July 2026, during which the largest fleet of tall ships and naval vessels in the world will take part in a presidential parade paying tribute to the Statue of Liberty.

The event will be accompanied by a spectacular international air display over the Hudson River, led by the Blue Angels, while more than 30 tall ships from around the world will sail along the river from the Verrazzano Bridge to the George Washington Bridge, creating one of the most impressive naval parades of the celebrations.

Accessibility on board the Amerigo Vespucci

Please note that, due to the Ship’s structural characteristics—designed in an era when accessibility provisions were not in place—there may be limitations for visitors with reduced mobility.
In particular, architectural barriers prevent the installation of ramps for wheelchair access. As a result, for technical and safety reasons, access cannot generally be guaranteed for visitors with mobility impairments requiring aids such as wheelchairs.

The crew of the Amerigo Vespucci is fully committed to ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience for all visitors.
We recognise the importance of providing the best possible experience and, where feasible within the Ship’s structural constraints, individual cases will be assessed on site.
