THE STOPS OF
VILLAGGIO ITALIA

A travelling symbol of Italian excellence, Villaggio Italia accompanied the World Tour 2023–2025, following the Vespucci across 8 international stops: Los Angeles, Tokyo, Darwin, Singapore, Mumbai, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. Conceived as a space for encounter and exchange, the Villaggio Italia promoted Italian culture, art, design, cuisine, innovation and tourism worldwide, offering visitors, institutions, and businesses an immersive experience through exhibition pavilions and a rich programme of events. It was a journey not only across geography, but also through culture and emotion – one that fostered genuine connections and strengthened the bond between Italy and international communities. Across 9 Italian cities — Trieste, Venice, Ortona, Brindisi, Taranto, Reggio Calabria, Naples, Civitavecchia and Genoa — the format evolved into Villaggio IN Italia: a more compact version designed for a national audience. At these stops, the journey of the Vespucci around the world was brought to life through testimonies, content and stories collected along the route.

THE CONCLUSION
OF THE WORLD TOUR

On 10 June 2025, the Vespucci returned to Genoa, to the very port from which it had departed two years earlier, on the occasion of Italian Navy Day. The city celebrated its return with a memorable event combining music, technology and emotion, marking the conclusion of the World Tour. For the occasion, an exceptional concert was performed for the very first time by the orchestral ensemble “Meravigliosa”, composed of 250 musicians from the Armed Forces and the Guardia di Finanza, joined by the Choir of the Teatro dell’Opera Carlo Felice. The ensemble provided live accompaniment to a six-act immersive screening recounting the ship’s journey through the notes of Italian masterpieces, from Verdi to Morricone.

The evening concluded with a spectacular tribute: 1,750 drones lit up the sky over Genoa with an extraordinary light show, paying homage to the legendary Ship, a symbol of Italian naval tradition and an ambassador of Italy around the world. The luminous choreographies captivated the audience, drawing among many figures a large compass, emblem of navigation, the globe evoking the long journey around the world, the Vespucci’s motto that has always accompanied its history, and finally, the logo of the World Tour, thus sealing in a truly evocative way the conclusion of an unprecedented adventure.
