The most successful films of today, along with the excellence of tradition: the best that Italy has brought and continues to bring to big and small screens worldwide.

From the screening of the most acclaimed films of recent years (including “Io Capitano” by Matteo Garrone) to tribute to great directors like Sergio Leone and soundtrack composers like Ennio Morricone, who have made Italian cinema great, captivating entire generations across five continents.
A story that could only be entrusted to the oldest film festival on the planet (this year reaching its 81st edition!) and still among the most authoritative and influential: the Venice International Film Festival organized by the Venice Biennale.

Visitors to the Villaggio Italia, starting from the Los Angeles stop of the Vespucci Tour (home of the Oscars), will thus be able to participate in initiatives and events aimed not only at promoting the global dissemination of Italian cinema in a spirit of freedom and dialogue but also at contributing to a better understanding of the history of the seventh art, of which Italy and the Venice Film Festival are among the most representative countries and events, respectively. For this reason, the Villaggio Italia will also feature the documentary “La parte del Leone” in which iconic artists, from Monica Bellucci to Pedro Almodóvar, from Cate Blanchett to Penélope Cruz, have portrayed… simply themselves!
