Frecce Tricolori

PROFILE OF THE EXCELLENCE

Among the most spectacular expressions of Italian excellence, the Frecce Tricolori embody a perfect balance of technique, discipline, and passion. The National Aerobatic Team — officially the 313th Aerobatic Training Squadron — is the aerobatic display team of the Italian Air Force.
Founded in 1961 and based at Rivolto Air Base in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the PAN is today regarded as one of the world’s leading aerobatic teams and holds the record for the largest number of aircraft flying in formation.
The Frecce Tricolori are not only a symbol of the strength and precision of the Italian Air Force, but also an emblem of national identity, capable of inspiring pride and emotion at every performance, both in Italy and abroad.

THE EXCELLENCE WITHIN THE VILLAGGI ITALIA AND VILLAGGI IN ITALIA

The Frecce Tricolori North America Tour ’24 marked a truly special occasion: thirty years after the historic “Columbus ’92” mission, the National Aerobatic Team once again took to the skies across the Atlantic, performing in Los Angeles above the Nave Vespucci and the Villaggio Italia.
It was a unique moment in which the aircraft and personnel of the Italian Air Force brought the colours and values of Italy overseas.
The tour, which began in June and concluded in early September, aimed to promote Italian industry and Made in Italy excellence in regions home to millions of Italian-Canadian and Italian-American communities.

Visitors to the Villaggio Italia were able to witness the breathtaking Frecce Tricolori air show — a perfect synthesis of emotion, aesthetics, tradition, and innovation, expressing Italian technology, teamwork, and spirit.
The displays also accompanied the Italian stages of the tour: Trieste, Civitavecchia and Genoa, the final stop of the Nave Vespucci’s World Tour, celebrated on Navy Day.
